Three Tasmanian show societies in Lyons will benefit from funding provided through the Morrison Government’s Regional Agricultural Show Grants program.
Liberal Senator for Tasmania, Claire Chandler, congratulated the Brighton Agricultural Society Inc, the Longford Show Society, and the Midlands Agricultural Association on their successful grant applications.
“Agricultural shows are such an important aspect of our regional communities, and the Morrison Coalition Government is proud to support this rural tradition,” Senator Chandler said.
“The Brighton, Longford and Campbell Town shows are each fantastic events on the Tasmanian calendar and it’s terrific that the Government is supporting them to upgrade their facilities.
“These annual events allow local producers to showcase their locally grown produce and services, as well as providing family friendly entertainment for all ages.
“Grant funding has been provided for regional show societies to upgrade show important infrastructure such as pavilions, display and storage sheds, and kitchen and bathroom amenities.”
